While Facebook was recently in the talks on web due to its Preliminary IPO shares, on the other hand, the Facebook social networking website is being continuously attacked by the hackers and spammers.
The hackers are continuously generating the Facebook scams for the FB users which lead to the hacking of the users’ profile by simple clicking.
When I was in my Facebook account, I took notice over a new Facebook scam namely ‘Unique Meaning of your Name’. This Facebook scam was deployed few days before by the hackers, which has spread over millions of Facebook accounts by now with the viral effect of the shares and likes on Facebook.
This latest Facebook scam is spreading like fire, which is shown with the message ‘wow nice app… Unique Meaning of your Name? Find out now here->->’ A similar kind of message is displayed in the Facebook profiles‘What Does your Name Say About You? Haha!! Click below to find What Does Your Name Say About You..’
These Facebook scams ask the user to permit the application to access their profile information and post updates on the users’ Facebook timeline as shown above. When the user clicks on the ‘Allow’ button, the user is directed to an online survey site to earn money. When the survey is completed by the user, no unique name is published rather the user’s time is wasted and the spammer gets profit by making money to conduct that survey, which is completed by the user.
So, if you want to feel safe, then kindly, check before granting the permission to the applications. Only install those Facebook applications which are published by some trusted source of Facebook
