Honey Singh (born 15 March 1984) also known as Yo! Yo! Honey Singh[1] is a Punjabi rapper and music producer. He started as a session and recording artist early in his career, and became a Bhangra producer.
While in the UK, he studied music at the prestigious School of Trinity.[citation needed] Singh has received the ETC award for the Best sound in 2006 for Glassi and the PTC award for the Best Folk Pop Award 2009 for Rebirth and PTC PUNJABI Best Music Director 2011.
I.V. (International Villager)[2] was the most awaited punjabi album of 2011 and released on 11 November 2011. The track Gabru International Villager featuring singer J-Star continues to be number 1 on all asian charts (including world iTunes and the official BBC asian charts) [3][4]

241543903 - The Story Behind the 'Head-in-a-Freezer' Image Meme

An image meme that started on Tumblr in early 2009 and spread to social networks around the world has just made its way back to Tumblr, where many users are seeing it for the first time. The meme is called "241543903," and it involves taking a photo of yourself with your head in your freezer and tagging it 241543903. That way, anyone who searches for that magic number on Google Images will see a whole ton of head-in-a-freezer photos. 241543903 seems to have peaked earlier this year, but it's been revived recently by a Tumblr post that now has over 2,000 likes and reblogs.

241543903 is totally weird the first time you see it: some people have Photoshopped their "decapitated" heads into the freezer, while others have taken normal photos by putting the camera inside their iceboxes or setting it up behind them. There are also some 241543903 drawings, and there's even a bit of crossover with the popular "motivational poster" image format.

Below, we'll tell you the story of 241543903, and how it spread around the world and came right back to Tumblr.

The Story of 241543903The head-in-a-freezer photo meme was started in April 2009 by David Horvitz, a New York artist known for (among other things) starting a subscription service for his daily photos of the sky. At the time, Horvitz was running a Tumblr where he would post instructions to his audience each day. These were generally off-the-wall things like "record a dramatic reading of a YouTube comment fight" or "ask to watch the sunset from the roof of the tallest building near your house." In November of this year, David had a book of these instructions, Everything That Can Happen in a Day, published by Random House.

Taking a photo with your head in the freezer and tagging it with the seemingly random number "241543903" was one of these instructions. Horvitz told us he got the idea after telling a sick friend, Mylinh Nguyen, to try sticking her head in a freezer. The number Horvitz picked was a combination of the serial number of his refrigerator and the barcodes on a bag of edamame and a package of frozen soba noodles he was keeping there.

The first 241543903 photo was posted to Horvitz' Flickr account on April 6, 2009, shortly before he posted the instructions on Tumblr. However, he uploaded a previous head-in-freezer shot in April of 2008, well before the 241543903 meme started. This earlier shot was tagged 241543903, but that may have happened after the meme started.

Shortly after the first picture was posted, the meme blew up on Google's social network, Orkut, which is one of the most popular websites in Brazil.

Someone asked David how Brazil caught on to his project before anyone else, and he told me he printed up 100 small fliers about 241543903 and sent them with a friend to Brazil. His friend told him she passed the fliers out to random young people. If the fliers are what caused this image to go viral, 241543903 is a rare case of an internet meme spreading through IRL means.

Once the head-in-a-fridge meme had taken over Orkut in 2009, spread to Japan, and then jumped to Facebook in early 2010, it disappeared until just this week. On Wednesday, a Tumblr post revived the meme and scored over 2,000 likes and reblogs. That's actually more than the 430 likes and reblogs David's original instructions have gathered so far. What's more, the Tumblr post has inspired Facebook status messages about 241543903, leading to a new leap in Google searches for the magic number.

A wedding is always so special, an occasion to meet people, make new alliances and it is all made wonderful by the memories when captured in frames. The new age technology has given us the chance to capture those memories in moving frames in the form of videos. When you grow old, your children and all the others whom you love can relive those memories forever with you. Wouldn’t it be nice then, when the whole world comes and share your memories with you?

This is exactly what happened with Jill and Kevin, when they uploaded their wedding video titled ‘JK Wedding Entrance Dance’ on YouTube. Never would they have imagined that it will become such a big hit, let alone inspire The Royal Wedding. To tell the truth, it was bride’s father who put up the video on the video sharing site, on the request of relatives who could not witness it in person.

The wedding in question happened on July 02, 2009 between Jill Paterson and Kevin Heinz. JK Wedding Entrance Dance video was uploaded on July 19, 2009. The video was an instant hit and within the first 48 hours, it was viewed more than 3.5 million times. As of August 28, 2011 it has been viewed more than 68 million times (at least a hundred times, by the writer of this post!).

The viral video received significant media coverage. In 2009, the year it was uploaded, it was the third most popular video on YouTube. Time Magazine ranked it at number fifteen on its list of fifty greatest YouTube videos.

Impact of the video

The song in JK Wedding Entrance Dance is ‘Forever’ by Chris Brown. The singer has been in media attention involving the case of domestic violence against his high profile girlfriend and famous R&B singer Rihanna. The album was released in February 2008 and the song was more or less lost in people’s memory. But the wedding video led to a resurgence of the song. By June 26, 2009 the song reached number 4 on iTunes and number 3 on Amazon.com. This is a dream come true for any company. Organizations today spend millions on digital marketing. Here is a product (the song Forever) that does not make any effort and still tops the charts. A classic example of viral marketing, only the record label does not play any role in it!

And that is not it. The video on YouTube was so popular that it inspired a number of parodies on YouTube and in other television media. On April 15, 2011, T-Mobile uploaded a video parody of the JK Wedding Entrance Dance portraying the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton weeks before the actual Royal Wedding. Now that is some achievement.

An awesome Google offering that I was missing

The next decade is going to be about cloud computing or so everyone related to Tech Community would like us to believe. Cloud Computing or not, one thing I am sure is that we are surely moving to online data storage from the era of personal computers.

Whether it is pictures (Facebook, Picassa etc), videos (YouTube, MySpace etc) or any other types of files, people are uploading content in hordes on these sites and others are happy to access them online. It makes a lot of sense with increasing broadband speeds. (On how to watch online movies visit this post)

Sometimes it becomes necessity as well. Now people own a number of devices. It starts with home computers, personal laptops, office systems, iPads among other. It becomes really difficult and irritating to maintain a library of your favourite songs on each of these devices. For someone like me, it becomes more difficult as I don’t have any preference and don’t follow a particular genre and the choice of music depends on my mood a lot. Now how to maintain that!

Well Google has an answer for that, like every other query we had in the past.Google music is still in beta phase and is not available for people outside USA. But it is really interesting project as one can make playlist and choose from a number of songs available in its library. But that is for people in USA. What about people in India like us?

Well don’t be disappointed as Google has another offering in its kitty. It is calledGoogle music India that offers Hindi music using partner sites like in.com, saavn and saregama. The advantages of using Google Music India are aplenty.

To start with, the song search feature is offered by the awesome Google, so one is sure to find what he is looking for and not something else. Secondly one does not have to go to individual websites and search on each of the individual sites for their favourite songs. I regularly use the service and I have found most of the Hindi songs I looked for. Also one can access their favourite songs anywhere. (For me it is on office computer…: D)

The obvious disadvantage is that we can’t make playlist of the songs here. Also the songs on offer are only Hindi songs, limiting the choices. But I am pretty sure that Google music beta will be soon offered to us and then these disadvantages will disappear.
